Hello everyone 👋🏻 I’m Supisara Chuthathumpitak or you can call me Pun-Pun.
I’m an IUP alumnus of the Department of Software Engineering at Kasetsart University. I graduated in 2020 and now I’m currently studying Master’s Degree in Business Analytics at the University of Warwick, UK.
𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲?
I did the exchange program during my 4th year at the University of Southampton, UK where I studied Computer Science.
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝘁?
It was an incredible experience! I had a chance to meet many international friends. Since it is a Bachelor’s course, it’s very rare to have any Thai student in the course. Therefore, I got an opportunity to practice my English and learn about different cultures which is the main reason why I join this program.
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴?
The teaching style in the UK is quite different from Thailand. The professor will not teach all of the topics so there will be a lot of self-learning, research, and reading. Most of the modules consist of a lecture, lab and seminar class. The professors will give a reading list for students to read before joining each lecture so we have a brief knowledge about the content that will be taught. The seminar class is not compulsory, however, it is recommended to join since it’s a session dedicated to asking questions that help resolves our doubts.
𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗯?
I joined the volunteer club where I went to the primary school not too far from the university twice a week as a teaching assistant. Mostly, I taught Maths, Reading and Spanish. I was so happy teaching, and seeing children getting better and better.
