International Undergraduate Program (IUP)
As Thailand and its neighboring countries are going into their industrial development phase, the demand for engineers has been escalating. Responding to this need, the Faculty of Engineering of KU created its International Undergraduate Program (IUP) in 2003 with the aim of producing professional engineers not only with technical knowledge and skills but also with English communication skills who could readily fill in that growing need. To date, we have already produced more than 500 graduates since our establishment and now, we have over 600 students enrolled in our programs.
Programs offered
Currently, we offer six international undergraduate degree programs namely:
- Electrical Engineering (Communication)
- Electrical-Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Software and Knowledge Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
Depending on the selected program, students are required successful completion of 144 to 150 approved credits to graduate and earn their Bachelor’s degree, which normally, may take four years to complete. One credit in the Thai crediting system for higher education is equivalent to 1.5 ECTS credits in the European countries or 3 credits in England/Wales/Northern Ireland crediting system.
Faculty of Engineering
The Faculty of Engineering, with over 70 years of experience, advocates learning through teaching, hands-on training and research. Our vision is to achieve global recognition as a self-sustaining academic center for research and innovative excellence. The Faculty of Engineering and its ten departments serve more than 7,000 students.

Kasetsart University
Kasetsart University (KU), a top-ranking public university in Thailand, was established in 1943 with the aim of teaching and promoting agricultural knowledge to the Thais, who largely depended on agricultural production for their livelihood. Starting from a single campus in Bangkhen, KU has now branched out to three more campuses serving over 60,000 students. Its Bangkhen Campus in Bangkok, the largest of the four KU campuses, has a land area of 135 hectares, which contains fifteen faculties and one college (see list below) and serves more than 35,000 students.
